The CBMCA Movie in the Park on Saturday, September 19th was a truly magical experience! Thanks to every one of the nearly 100 people who came out to share it with us. The film played was Amélie, a cheeky and playful French film filled with positivity and hope, and was a perfect choice for these times. To paraphrase the movie, times are hard for dreamers, but this event made it a little better.
Major thanks go to Servus Alberta and Amanda for your support, to Evan Woolley and Jill Mawer as well as Jeromy Farkas and Lindsay Seewalt for your unfailing backing and encouragement, Calgary Parks for bending over backwards to help us get this off the ground, AHS for helping us do it safely, Calgary Show Services Kristoffer and Eric for the awesome film experience, Light Kings Joel, Kyle, and Sarah for making the park so magical, Heather Saitz for the beautiful pics, and most of all the amazing CBMCA volunteers led by Cayley Hanrahan and Selin Bilgin. Cayley, you are such a star!
This event was such a successful, we hope to have a series of such movies starting next spring. Until then, here are some event photos by Heather Saitz:
