Communications
CBMCA speaks to the community via a monthly newsletter and through social media, keeping residents up to date on events and news that impact our community.
The Environment portfolio is responsible for protecting and enhancing Cliff Bungalow-Mission's green spaces and tree canopy. In addition to managing CBMCA's two community gardens, the committee sponsors the annual River and Pathway Cleanup each spring and the autumn Swap! Drop! and Donate! Community Cleanup.
Cliff Bungalow-Mission is a historic community and this important role helps raise awareness by providing a heritage perspective on proposed new developments, managing the community heritage plaque program, and engaging the community through the newsletter and social media.
Planning and Development
The Planning and Development committee reviews proposed developments in the community and determines CBMCA’s response, advocating for developments that retain heritage buildings and/or reflect the community's identity as a heritage district. It often meets with owners and developers to better understand their perspective and to have a robust discussion with them. These discussions and our comments can help improve what is being proposed and protect our community’s heritage.
Social
This is the fun portfolio. It brings our community together through events like movies in the park, potluck dinners, the annual Spring Fling, and the Jazz Under the Cliff series.
